A Chic Tripp Pant

The Working Goth Outfit

Welcome!

This week I’m discussing a beautiful pair of pants that remind me of the classic Tripp pants. If you don’t know what Tripp pants are, I’ve heard people call them skater pants or just ‘those baggy pants that some goths wear and that some goths absolutely despise’. They are usually covered in chains or zippers of some sort, but I personally believe that they are out of style now. If someone wants to bring them back in style though count me in!

Although the pants shown in today’s inspiration are baggy, it may be a stretch to call them Tripp pants. These pants are probably my favorite pair in my wardrobe because they make everything look good. I can pair these with just about any shirt and I instantly look put together and chic. The way that the pants cinch at the perfect height on my waist makes me feel good- and clothes should always make you feel good. I bought these pants from Uniqlo which is a brand that I shop at regularly for basics. If you want a link to them let me know!

I paired these amazing pants with a silk button down shirt. I like to play around with different materials since color isn’t really my forte. The mat texture of the pants really makes the shine of the silk shirt, well, shine. This outfit is perfect for goths who want to look chic at work but I also think it’s great for a day out! For all of you out there that aren’t very girly, this is the perfect outfit for you; chic, sophisticated, and most importantly, goth.

I would recommend pairing this outfit with a pointy pair of heels or any pointy toed shoe. The pants are very long and cover most of your feet so being able to see a small point at the bottom of the pants adds an interesting detail. To make these pants more like a typical Tripp pant, you can also pair these with an amazing pair of platform shoes, though you may not be able to see much of them.

Other options for tops in this outfit would be any kind of button down shirt or even a v-neck sweater! Let me know what you think about this week’s outfit and what you would pair with a pair of pants like these.

Until next week!
